NOTICE OF ELECTIONS
Fleming Fire District, Cayuga County New York
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the annual election of the qualified voters of the Fleming Fire District in the town of Fleming, County of Cayuga, State of New York, will be held at the station of Fleming Fire Company No. 1 located at 6063 West Lake Road, Auburn, New York 13021 on the 12th day of December 2023, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM for the purpose of electing five fire district commissioners, with the candidate receiving the highest number of votes receiving a five (5) year term, the candidate receiving the second highest number of votes receiving a four (4) year term, the candidate receiving the third highest number of votes receiving a three (3) year term, the candidate receiving the fourth highest number of votes receiving a two (2) year term, and the candidate receiving the fifth highest number of votes receiving a one (1) year term as commissioner. Only residents of the Fleming Fire District may run for the positions. Any person wishing to be a candidate for the position shall file their name with the Secretary of the Fleming Fire District by email to: jimcorl3@mac.com no later than November 22, 2023. Persons need only state that they desire to run for the position of Commissioner. All duly registered residents of the Fleming Fire District shall be eligible to vote. Individuals wishing to vote must have resided in the Fleming Fire District for at least 30 days preceding the election and must have registered to vote with the Cayuga County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2023.
