The Town of Fleming will receive sealed bids for bidding the Procurement of Water Main and Appurtenances for the Town of Fleming Glanville Road Water Main. Bids will be received by the Fleming Town Clerk at the offices of the Town of Fleming until 3:00 p.m. (Local Time) on July 10, 2017 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

 A pre-bid conference will NOT be held.

 Only written Requests For Information (RFI) will be accepted. RFI’s will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on July 6, 2017 at the office of the Engineer to the attention of Brent Rosiek via email: If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on July 7, 2017 from the office of the Engineer.

The amendments are as follows: 

BID DATE: The Bid Date has been extended to 12:00 pm July 12, 2017 local time from the original 3:00 pm July 10, 2017.

 Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained ONLY at the office of the Engineer upon deposit of $25.00 for each complete set. The deposit is non-refundable. Checks for Contract Documents should be made payable to the Town of Fleming. Requests for mailing of Contract Documents shall only be made to the Engineer and addressed to Clark Patterson Lee, Attn: Debbie Button-Vanderwall, 205 St. Paul Street, Suite 500, Rochester, NY 14604. Enclosed with the request for mailing shall be two checks: one check made payable to the Town of Fleming for $25.00 for the Contract Documents; and a check made payable to Clark Patterson Lee for $15.00 for handling and mailing fees (non-refundable). Contract documents can be picked up in person at the 186 North Water Street address only.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11,246 and 11,375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.

 The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations.

 Statement of Non-Collusion: Bidders on the contract are required to execute a non-collusive bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

 Sales and Use of Tax Exemptions: The Town of Fleming is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the Town of Fleming pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the Town of Fleming pursuant to this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.

 All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The Town of Fleming reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
